Development Tools Software Architect
Role Summary
Architect and lead development of software tools (debuggers, analyzers, SDKs, IDEs, PDKs and methodologies) for Network-on-Chip and SoC workflows. Drive technical direction, prioritize tool development, and collaborate with engineering teams and external technologists to improve validation, manufacturing, systems integration, and software products.

Responsibilities
Lead architecture, design, and delivery of development tools and ensure they meet strategic and engineering objectives.
- Architect and lead software tools for Network-on-Chip and SoC development.
- Design software solutions to optimize development, validation, and testing processes.
- Evaluate feasibility of requirements and define technical direction for projects.
- Perform architecture modeling and align designs with strategic objectives.
- Review code and communicate architectural intent to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with technologists inside Intel and across the industry to set technical priorities.
- Resolve complex group-level engineering challenges using innovative solutions.
- Maintain quality across the software development lifecycle, including debugging and validation.
Requirements

- Proficiency in languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
- Experience with software debugging and object-oriented software design.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with performance modeling and correlation.
- Experience with architecture modeling and code review practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional technical problem-solving.
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to AMBA protocol architecture concepts.
- Experience interacting with industry technologists to guide technical direction.
- Proven leadership delivering impactful software projects within large organizations.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or a related field.
