Development Engineer
Role Summary
Provide engineering development support for SAW and BAW acoustic RF filter products from development through high-volume production. Work across Design, Process, Test, Reliability, Applications and Quality teams to ensure manufacturability, performance, and successful production ramp.
Focus areas include specification definition, test implementation, failure analysis, production troubleshooting, yield and continuous improvement, and automation of analytics and KPIs.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early-career - approximately 2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or radio communications is required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and validate product architecture and critical parameters for SAW/BAW filters to meet customer and data-sheet requirements.
- Establish test criteria and work with Test Engineering on test implementation and product compliance.
- Support qualification activities, failure analysis, and 8D investigations for internal and external complaints.
- Assist high-volume production testing, fab processing and quality engineering to improve manufacturing robustness and accelerate ramp-up.
- Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and prepare technical reports.
- Drive yield improvement and cost-reduction initiatives for mature products.
- Interface with cross-functional teams (Design, Process, Test, Reliability, Applications, Marketing) to resolve ramp and risk issues related to schedule, cost and quality.
- Apply statistical and automation tools to generate limits, perform correlations, monitor KPIs and automate analytical workflows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience (concise):
- Experience with acoustic RF filters (SAW and BAW) and radio-frequency / signal-processing concepts.
- Knowledge of SPC, statistical analysis and use of tools such as JMP and Spotfire.
- Experience in semiconductor fabrication, high-volume production test, and quality engineering.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including wire bonding, SMT, ULC, flip-chip and module lamination, and support of technology transitions into volume production.
- Experience participating in 8D investigations and qualification/failure analysis activities.
- Ability to apply statistical methods and automation to monitor and improve production metrics.

- Work schedule: hybrid - four days in the office with one optional remote day.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related technical field is specified.
