Developer Technology Engineer
Role Summary
Work with game developers to enable Intel GPU and CPU technologies by improving reliability, performance, and visual quality of game titles on Intel platforms. Collaborate with driver, hardware, and tooling teams to debug, optimize, integrate features, and produce developer-facing documentation and tools.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires 5+ years working on game technologies for GPU and/or CPU.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Engage with independent software developers (ISVs) to integrate features, troubleshoot issues, and apply platform best practices.
- Collaborate with driver, feature development, and hardware teams to resolve technical issues and improve performance and quality.
- Debug and optimize game code, engines, shaders, APIs, and tools for Intel CPUs and GPUs.
- Drive feature integrations and support developer profiling, debugging, and optimization toolchains.
- Produce documentation and materials that promote best practices for Intel hardware.
- Represent Intel at developer conferences and deliver technical presentations.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:

Must-have: 5+ years working on game technologies for GPU and/or CPU.
- Experience with modern game engine architecture, rendering pipelines, and rendering techniques.
- Fluency in HLSL and C/C++ and experience using DirectX 12 features.
- Working knowledge of Windows developer profiling tools such as PIX, RenderDoc, WPA, and GPUView.
- Experience reporting reproducible bugs and driving them to resolution; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Vulkan, GLSL, NVIDIA Nsight, Windows/x86 architecture, Unreal Engine optimization, and experience creating or productizing developer tools.
