Role Summary

The Designer, Layout role is part of the Automotive Power team focused on creating analog layout blocks. This position requires collaboration with the schematic designer and layout team globally to innovate new products for the Automotive Group while ensuring adherence to design schedules and quality requirements. Additionally, the role may involve mentoring new hires and contributing to development initiatives.

Experience Level

Experienced, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Create analog layout blocks.
  • Collaborate with schematic designers and global teams on product innovation.
  • Meet project schedules and design quality requirements.
  • Mentor new hires.
  • Participate in development initiatives.

Requirements

Key qualifications for this role are:

  • Extensive analog block level layout experience.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of semiconductor device physics, layout principles, and IC reliability.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso XL and Calibre verification tools is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Able to work effectively in a cross-functional and global team.
  • Layout experience in LDO, ADC, DAC, or DC-DC converters is a plus.
  • Layout experience in technology nodes like 55nm or 16nm is an advantage.

Education Requirements

BS in Electronics or Electrical Engineering is required.
