Design Verification Technical Lead

Role Summary

Lead verification strategy and execution for complex ASIC/SoC blocks. Manage a team of verification engineers to deliver coverage-driven verification, automation, and sign-off readiness while collaborating with design, architecture, and implementation teams.

Experience Level

Senior - typically requires 10+ years of relevant IC/SoC functional verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining verification approaches, implementing test environments, and ensuring robust verification sign-off.

• Lead verification strategy and execution for assigned DUT blocks to achieve comprehensive functional coverage.
• Define, review, and maintain verification test plans aligned with design and architecture requirements.
• Develop verification environments, UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, and test sequences.
• Create stimulus scenarios and test patterns to validate functionality and corner cases.
• Run simulations, analyze results, and debug RTL issues with design engineers.
• Manage and execute regression testing across feature updates and bug fixes.
• Track and improve functional and code coverage metrics; enable coverage-driven verification and sign-off.
• Maintain verification documentation: test cases, results, and coverage reports.
• Develop automation scripts, reusable components, and VIP to improve productivity.
• Mentor and guide junior verification engineers; share best practices.

Requirements

Essential skills and experience for the role.

• At least 10 years of hands-on IC/SoC functional verification experience.
• Strong RTL debugging skills with simulation and waveform analysis tools.
• Proficient in UVM, SystemVerilog, Verilog, and SVA.
• Working knowledge of on-chip protocols such as AXI, NoC, and RISC-V.
• Proven ability to lead verification efforts and mentor engineers.
• Experience with regression frameworks, coverage analysis, and coverage-driven sign-off.
• Experience developing automation, reusable verification components, and VIP.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher in Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, or related fields. (Degree preferred but not specified as strictly required.)
