Design Verification Manager

Role Summary

The MSP design team at Texas Instruments develops low-power system-on-chips (SoCs) for various applications. The Verification Manager ensures the quality and reliability of advanced MSP products by managing verification processes, including assisting with customer debugging and developing verification methodologies adhering to standards.

Experience Level

Senior, with a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • End-to-End ownership of IP/subsystem/SoC DV/Post silicon debug.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team during specification phases.
  • Define verification strategies ensuring traceability.
  • Conduct verification of IPs, subsystems, and SoCs covering functional and firmware scenarios.
  • Own the DV environment, enhancing integration, updates, and adapting flows.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve verification goals.
  • Provide final SoC DV signoff following regression results and coverage metrics.
  • Participate in customer reviews and certification processes.

Requirements

The qualifications include:

  • Must-have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 8-12 years of experience in related areas.
  • Experience in SoC design verification, UVM/SystemVerilog, and post-silicon verification.
  • Proficiency in Perl and Python scripting.
  • Excellent debugging skills with Verilog and VHDL designs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have:
  • Knowledge of Cadence tools and functional safety processes.
  • Experience with ARM systems and power-aware simulations.

Education Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related specializations.
