Job Title

Design Verification Manager

Role Summary

Manage and deliver SoC design verification and pre/post-silicon AVnV activities for the MCU organization. Lead verification strategy and execution across FPGA, Palladium, and silicon bring-up while coordinating with digital, analog, software, and validation teams.

Provide technical leadership, improve verification methodologies and tools, and mentor verification engineers to meet coverage and delivery goals for high-growth markets such as data center and emerging compute domains.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 8+ years of relevant design verification and validation experience.

Responsibilities

The manager will oversee verification delivery, drive methodology improvements, and coordinate cross-functional validation activities.

  • Drive SoC design verification (DV) and AVnV across pre- and post-silicon platforms (FPGA, Palladium, silicon).
  • Support verification and validation leads for power-aware verification, gate-level simulation (GLS), AMS flows, and emulation activities.
  • Manage RTL and GLS regression runs, track results, run coverage, and ensure defined coverage and functional goals are met.
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews; coordinate debug and silicon bring-up activities with software, ROM, and validation teams.
  • Mentor and develop verification team members; drive results even when domain expertise is still developing.
  • Collaborate with cross-site teams including digital design, software, analog design, test, and application engineering for successful product validation and customer debug support.
  • Innovate and implement improved verification methodologies and work with the EDA/tools team to upgrade flows and tools.

Requirements

Key must-have technical skills and attributes, plus preferred additions.

  • Proven experience leading SoC verification and validation efforts across pre/post-silicon platforms (FPGA, Palladium, silicon).
  • Experience with power-aware verification, gate-level simulation, AMS flows, regression management, and coverage-driven verification.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage teams, mentor engineers, and drive project delivery and timelines.
  • Experience collaborating with software, analog, test, and application engineering teams on bring-up and debug.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience establishing verification flows and working with EDA/tool teams to upgrade or customize tools.
  • Prior exposure to silicon bring-up, customer debug support, and large cross-functional projects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is specified; equivalent practical experience is typically acceptable where noted.
