Design Verification Lead
Advanced Micro DevicesJob Title
Design Verification Lead
Role Summary
Lead verification activities for complex PLL IP delivered into AMD SoCs, covering RTL, gate-level, and analog-mixed-signal verification. Work with cross-site engineering teams to define verification strategy, create test plans, and deliver methodology-based (UVM) testbenches and regressions.
Focus on ensuring silicon readiness through comprehensive coverage, robust regressions, and clear feedback to design and architecture teams.
Experience Level
Senior β 15+ years of verification experience expected.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Create test plans and develop UVM-based verification environments for PLL and related IP features.
- Verify IP at RTL, gate-level (gatesim), and in analog/mixed-signal simulations, including digital-analog co-simulations.
- Define and drive coverage goals: code coverage, functional coverage, and assertions to achieve verification completeness.
- Run and maintain regression suites and ensure delivery quality through automated regressions.
- Review designs and provide feedback to design and architecture teams.
- Lead and mentor verification engineers; coordinate across sites and time zones.
Requirements
Key technical and leadership requirements:
- 15+ years of relevant verification experience (required).
- Expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
- Strong experience with code and functional coverage metrics and coverage-driven verification.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; excellent communication and cross-site collaboration.
- Strong digital design knowledge and exposure to UPF-based low-power RTL verification.
- Prior experience leading a team (desirable).
- Prior experience in PLL verification and mixed-signal verification methodology (highly desirable).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering (as stated in the posting).
