Design Verification Intern
Role Summary
Hands-on internship supporting verification of Quadric's GPNPU processor architecture. Work with the hardware team to document test plans, develop and debug tests, and generate coverage to assess verification completeness.
Preference for this internship to be based in the Burlingame, California office; candidates should be Bay Area–based or able to relocate and work on site for the internship period.

Responsibilities
Support verification planning, test development, and cross-team collaboration.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to document verification test plans.
- Write and debug tests against the processor's architecture and micro-architecture.
- Generate and analyze coverage data to evaluate verification completeness.
- Communicate findings, blockers, and technical questions clearly to the team.
- Work closely with hardware architects and designers to understand design intent and verification requirements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and abilities.
- Familiarity with verification methodologies for CPU- or GPU-class designs.
- Proficient in SystemVerilog, SystemC, or C/C++ (UVM is a plus).
- Practical debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Clear technical communication and ability to collaborate with architects and designers.
- Available to work on site in Burlingame, CA for the internship period.
Nice-to-have:
- Coursework or project experience in computer architecture, RTL design, ML systems, or performance engineering.
- Exposure to assembly or low-level code generation.
- Scripting experience (Python) and familiarity using LLMs to assist workflows.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
