Design Verification Infrastructure Engineer — Platform

Role Summary

Develop and maintain the Verification Platform used across SiFive to accelerate design verification and validation. Collaborate with Platform Technologies to extend Chisel and CIRCT and deliver libraries, tools, and end-to-end flows for verification teams.

This role focuses on systems engineering and tooling to scale verification across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Architect, develop, and maintain a scalable Verification Platform for design verification and validation activities.
• Extend Chisel and CIRCT to support platform libraries and tooling.
• Develop Scala/Chisel libraries for verification intent: test harnesses, stimulus, scoreboards, and generators.
• Build Python libraries for querying design metadata and integrating with verification tools.
• Create tools and methodologies for end-to-end verification flows and production deployments.
• Educate and onboard design verification and validation teams on platform best practices.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: Software engineering experience in at least one compiled language and one scripting language.
• Must-have: Understanding of modern software engineering practices and experience deploying software systems to production.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Chisel, CIRCT, and/or MLIR.
• Nice-to-have: Background in systems software (compilers, databases, operating systems).
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with EDA tools and design verification flows.
