Job Title

Design Verification Engineer, Silicon and Systems Group

Role Summary

Join an advanced architecture team responsible for defining verification methodology and implementing test plans for complex digital blocks used in Amazon devices. The role involves developing verification environments, writing assertions and tests, debugging RTL and testbenches, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and product design.

The team focuses on verification, integration, and bring-up of IP and SoC-level blocks to support productized silicon.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 7+ years of practical semiconductor design verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define verification methodology and produce detailed verification test plans for complex digital design blocks.
  • Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Write assertions, directed and constrained-random tests, and coverage metrics to exercise stimulus and corner cases.
  • Debug RTL, tests, and system-level issues in collaboration with design and software engineers.
  • Integrate third-party IPs/VIPs and transactors and perform IP/SoC bring-up in simulation, emulation, FPGA, and prototyping environments.
  • Participate in test plan and coverage reviews and close verification gaps toward tape-out.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 7+ years of semiconductor design verification experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, assertions, and coverage-driven verification.
  • Experience across verification platforms: simulation, FPGA, emulation, and system testing.
  • Proven experience developing test plans, building testbench infrastructure, and verifying complex designs at IP and SoC levels.
  • Strong debugging skills to identify issues in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using Python or Perl.
  • Experience defining verification methodologies and writing directed/constrained-random tests.
