Design Verification Engineer II
Role Summary
The Design Verification Engineer II develops and executes verification plans and infrastructure for Wireless MCU SoCs on the IoT Digital Design team. The role focuses on functional verification of SoC and IP blocks, including mixed-signal components, and works closely with RTL designers, architects, firmware and validation teams to deliver silicon-quality verification.
Office is in Singapore (above Tai Seng MRT); the position operates on a hybrid schedule and includes occasional pre- and post-silicon activities.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requests approximately 5–10+ years of verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute verification plans for SoC/IP blocks and mixed-signal designs.
- Design, build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification infrastructure.
- Create directed and constrained-random test cases and drive functional coverage closure and regression analysis.
- Implement and maintain assertions (SVA) and perform RTL/debug across simulation and emulation environments.
- Support pre-silicon and occasional post-silicon debug activities.
- Improve verification methodologies, automation, and CI flows.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to verification strategy.
- Collaborate closely with RTL designers, architecture teams, firmware/software teams, and validation engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong SystemVerilog and UVM experience.
- Experience with RTL simulation, emulation, debug, functional coverage and assertions (SVA).
- SoC/IP verification experience and familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, APB).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl) for verification automation.
- Understanding of embedded systems and MCU subsystems.
- Knowledge of low-power verification concepts and CDC/RDC verification.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with wireless SoCs and mixed-signal/AMS verification.
- Hands-on pre-/post-silicon debug and experience improving CI/automation pipelines.
- Previous mentoring or team leadership in verification projects.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
