Role Summary

The Design Verification Engineer will join the CPU verification team, focusing on the verification of processor components, including CPU core functionality, coherency, and cache subsystems. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced verification methodologies and teamwork with top architects and designers.

Mid-level; 4+ years of experience required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing functional verification of CPU cores and related subsystems (coherency and cache controllers).
  • Developing verification strategies based on microarchitectural specifications.
  • Creating verification plans, including testbench creation and test case development.
  • Writing directed and constrained random test cases in SystemVerilog, C, and Assembly.
  • Utilizing UVM-based environments for coverage-driven verification.
  • Analyzing coverage reports to close coverage gaps.
  • Automating regression and verification flows using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers and architects to ensure design quality and performance.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering.
  • 4+ years in design verification, preferably in CPU or SoC verification.
  • Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, and constrained random verification.
  • Familiarity with CPU architectures such as RISC-V, ARM, or MIPS.
  • Understanding of cache and coherency concepts.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

  • Exposure to RISC-V architecture.
  • Knowledge of interconnect protocols like AXI, ACE, or CHI.
  • Experience with FPGA prototyping or emulation platforms.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering.
