Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on functional verification of ASIC IP and blocks, developing and maintaining testbenches, regressions, and verification environments. Collaborate with IP and SoC teams to validate functionality, coverage, and performance.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Prefer candidates with approximately 4+ years of ASIC design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, maintain and enhance test environments, regressions, and testbenches.
- Create and execute test plans at module/IP/SoC levels and drive coverage closure.
- Perform IP/block testing, debugging, and verification of functional and code coverage.
- Execute performance and power testing as required.
- Support SoC integration and resolve issues between IP and system integration.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proven experience in functional verification, test planning, testbench development, stimulus generation, checking, and functional coverage.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills; experience with C++.
- Experience with scripting (Perl) and logic simulation tools.
- Familiarity with verification methodologies and tools; UVM/OVM experience is an advantage.
- Experience debugging complex verification environments and working with coverage planning and closure.
- Knowledge of memory controllers, DFI, DRAM models (DDR4/5, LPDDR4/5, HBM, NVDIMM) or DDR PHY is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and across distributed teams.
Education Requirements
BE / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication (ECE) or Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred, ideally with a VLSI emphasis. (Degrees listed in the source: BE/B.Tech, Master’s.)
