Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Design and verify FPGA-accelerated software abstractions and verification frameworks for embedded, data center, and communications products. Execute verification, testing and debug activities and support new product rollouts and customer technical issues.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of design verification, testing and debug experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and maintain verification environments and frameworks for FPGA-based systems.
- Create and execute test plans, run simulations and debug design and verification issues.
- Implement SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and perform performance grading.
- Verify interfaces and protocols such as AXI, PCIe, Ethernet and memory protocols; verify Security IPs (e.g., MACSec).
- Use FPGA simulation and debug tools (VCS, Verdi) for verification workflows.
- Support new product releases and rollouts and provide customer technical support.
- Mentor junior engineers and present technical results to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Minimum 8+ years experience in design verification, testing and debug.
- High proficiency with SystemVerilog and UVM verification methodologies.
- Strong understanding of bus and interface protocols (AXI, PCIe, Ethernet) and memory protocols.
- Experience with FPGA simulation tools such as VCS and Verdi.
- System-level understanding and ability to support product release and customer issues.
- Good communication and presentation skills; experience mentoring junior engineers.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Security IPs (for example, MACSec).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or VLSI engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
