Job Title

Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for functional verification of FPGA designs to ensure they meet microarchitecture and specification requirements. Works within the verification team to develop verification plans, environments, and tests, and to validate complex FPGA IPs and SoCs.

The role collaborates with FPGA architects, RTL developers, physical design, and software teams to execute pre-silicon validation, debug issues, and improve verification infrastructure and methodology.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 5+ years of technical experience in pre-silicon validation/verification.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Develop verification plans, testbenches, and verification environments to achieve coverage of microarchitecture specifications.
  • Execute verification plans, run system and gate-level simulations, and analyze timing and power impacts.
  • Replicate, root-cause, and debug pre-silicon issues; implement corrective measures and regression tests.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, physical design, and software teams for integration testing and verification strategy.
  • Maintain and improve functional verification infrastructure, methodologies, and documentation; lead technical reviews.
  • Document and execute verification strategies for techniques such as gate-level simulation and power-aware simulation.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 5+ years in pre-silicon validation/verification of FPGA IPs or SoCs.
  • Hands-on experience with OVM/UVM, SystemVerilog, and constrained-random verification methodologies.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing complex verification environments and test suites across the full verification lifecycle (architecture, test plan, execution, debug, coverage closure).
  • Experience with FPGA architecture or FPGA prototyping and integration testing.
  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills; ability to develop validation test suites and improve methodologies.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience integrating power and timing analysis into the verification flow.

Education Requirements
