Role Summary

The Design Modeling Engineer develops, validates, and maintains circuit models (analog, digital, and mixed-signal) used for Lattice FPGAs. The role works within the modeling team and closely with design and development engineers to ensure models meet specifications, performance targets, and internal user needs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include model development, validation, collaboration, and documentation:

• Develop and validate models for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Perform digital and circuit simulations using Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog and SPICE tools.
• Analyze simulation results and refine models to improve accuracy and performance.
• Optimize models for performance, accuracy, and computational efficiency.
• Collaborate with design engineers and internal consumers to capture requirements and verify models against specifications.
• Document modeling processes, assumptions, and results for stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior modeling engineers.
• Monitor and adopt advances in modeling techniques and tools.

Requirements

• Must have: Proven experience in circuit modeling and simulation.
• Must have: Proficiency with SPICE and hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL, and SystemVerilog.
