This role sits in RF Design Enablement and works cross-functionally with process integration, device engineering, PDK and EDA teams to coordinate ground-rule validation from layout through silicon measurement and publication.
Experience Level
Entry-level - position targeted to new college graduates. Suitable for candidates with little to no industry experience (typical range 0–2 years).
Responsibilities
Contribute to design-rule development, validation, and publication; coordinate validation experiments and analyze silicon results.
- Partner with Process Integration, Manufacturing, Device Engineering, Customer Engineering, Program Management, PDK Development, and EDA teams to identify required design-rule coverage.
- Participate in development, optimization, and qualification of semiconductor design rules across technology platforms.
- Perform design-rule margin calculations using process, reliability, yield, and silicon-characterization data.
- Develop layout-based DOEs and electrical test structures for inclusion on technology test vehicles.
- Coordinate ground-rule validation from layout creation through silicon measurement and data collection.
- Analyze silicon characterization results with statistical and data-mining techniques to assess rule robustness and manufacturability.
- Generate technical reports and recommendations supporting design-rule qualification.
- Prepare, review, publish, and maintain Design Manual content for PDK releases; execute QA reviews, change tracking, and revision control.
- Maintain documentation repositories, release notes, and publication records; improve publishing processes, templates, tools, and automation.
- Support environmental, health, safety & security requirements in daily activities.
