Design Implementation Synthesis Engineer
Role Summary
Work on hardware implementation and synthesis tasks within a hardware engineering team to plan, optimize, verify, and test electronic designs. Support integration, characterization, and bring-up of digital/analog/RF/FPGA/DSP systems and production test solutions.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting indicates early-career to mid-career experience; 1+ year of hands-on hardware/circuit experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include supporting hardware implementation, verification, and production bring-up.
- Assist planning, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems, circuits, and associated test systems.
- Support integration of features and functionality into hardware designs per proposals or roadmaps.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to meet power, performance, and area targets.
- Collaborate on implementing new requirements and test solutions to improve yield, test time, and quality.
- Evaluate and characterize manufacturing solutions and support product bring-up to meet schedules.
- Support reliability assessments for materials and techniques; pursue automation and optimization to increase productivity.
- Document technical work and findings for hardware projects.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.
- Hands-on experience with circuit design (digital, analog, or RF) and hardware measurement instruments (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, RF tools).
- Experience using schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
- Practical understanding of hardware integration, bring-up, and test processes.
- Ability to run simulations and analyze trade-offs for power, performance, and area.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
- Problem-solving, planning, and basic decision-making within a supervised environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with ASIC design flows, Cadence Virtuoso, FPGA/DSP systems, automation tools, and production test methodologies.
- Familiarity with compiler-related workflows, architecture analysis, or C++ for automation tasks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in these fields is preferred.
