Design for Test Consultant

Role Summary

This position is for a Design for Test (DFT) Consultant at Siemens Digital Industries Software, primarily based in Cairo, Egypt. The individual will work on implementing complex Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) designs, specifically using Tessent DFT software.

Experience Level

This role is suitable for individuals with a background in engineering, specifically those who have educational qualifications and relevant experience in ASIC and DFT methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training programs to develop consulting and DFT expertise.
• Deliver a wide range of DFT consulting services.
• Implement and deploy DFT flows with customers.
• Support customer adoption of Tessent software capabilities.
• Communicate technical solutions to meet customers’ objectives.
• Convey customer requirements to influence product engineering.
• Foster ongoing positive relationships with customers.
• Collaborate with team members for mutual success.
• Provide Tessent-based solutions to meet customer technical and business needs.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites, primarily in Europe.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Science (BSCS); Master's degree (MSEE) preferred.
• Creative problem-solving skills for unique customer challenges.
• Knowledge of ASIC design and DFT topics including scan, ATPG, and boundary scan.
• Experience with Tessent DFT tools and Tessent Shell environment.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Unix systems.
• Strong communication skills and a self-motivated approach.

Education Requirements

Minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; a Master’s degree is preferred.
