Design Engineer Intern
Role Summary
Intern on the SoC Design team working on Marvell switching SoCs. The role supports SoC-level RTL design, IP integration, automation, and cross-functional system integration with verification, physical design, firmware, and software teams.
Work will involve implementing RTL features, debugging integration issues, and developing automation to improve design efficiency.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level - student (Bachelor's or Master's). Must be in at least the 2nd year and have at least two years remaining before graduation.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Contribute to SoC-level RTL design and implement new features.
- Integrate IP blocks into the SoC and verify interfaces and requirements.
- Develop and maintain automation flows to optimize runtime and reduce manual effort.
- Investigate and debug complex simulation and integration failures to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with verification, physical design, firmware, and software teams for system-level integration.
- Participate in design and verification of IP blocks and multidisciplinary systems.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Top-down system-level thinking for SoC design.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good teamwork, clear communication, and presentation skills.
- Well-organized documentation and research practices.
- Familiarity with or willingness to use scripting languages for automation (Python, Perl, TCL).
- Self-driven, quick learner, and highly motivated to achieve project goals.
Education Requirements
Student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Must be at least in the 2nd year of study and have at least two years remaining before graduation.
