Design Engineer II
Role Summary
Mid-level verification engineer on the Memory Controller development team. Lead verification efforts, extend and maintain the UVM-based functional verification environment, and ensure designs meet the team's technical and quality metrics.
Experience Level
Mid-level - typically 2–3 years of relevant experience, including design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead verification effort for Memory Controller IP and contribute to overall functional verification activities.
- Add features and tests to the existing functional verification environment and maintain regressions.
- Plan verification environments and generate test plans.
- Develop UVM-based verification components, sequences, and infrastructure.
- Ensure customer configurations are exercised in regressions and support customers with environment issues.
- Measure and improve functional and code coverage metrics.
- Ensure designs meet technical and quality requirements defined by the team.
Requirements
Key skills and experience.
- 2–3 years of relevant design verification experience.
- Strong background in functional verification fundamentals.
- Experience planning verification environments and producing test plans.
- Proven experience developing UVM-based functional verification environments (required).
- Experience supporting verification environments and troubleshooting customer issues.
- Familiarity with measuring and closing functional and code coverage gaps.
- Nice-to-have: AXI and/or CHI-E protocol experience, DDR memory experience, and prior memory controller verification experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering as stated in the posting. No explicit equivalent-experience language was provided.
