Design Engineer - Hod Hasharon
Role Summary
As an ASIC/VLSI Design Engineer you will design, implement and optimize IP blocks for advanced high-speed chips. You will work on micro-architecture and RTL, collaborate with architecture, verification and physical-design teams, and help deliver low-power, high-performance silicon from the Hod Hasharon site.
Experience Level
Mid-level - typically requires at least 3 years of VLSI/ASIC design experience (see Education Requirements for degree/experience combinations).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include module definition, micro-architecture implementation, verification support, and low-power optimization.
- Work with Architecture to define module functionality and micro-architecture.
- Implement RTL and drive design through implementation phases.
- Collaborate closely with verification and physical-design (PD) teams.
- Optimize designs for lowest possible power consumption while meeting performance targets.
- Execute QA flows and checks such as lint, CDC analysis, and gate-level simulation (GLS).
- Coordinate with distributed teams and engineering groups abroad.

- Minimum of 3 years of VLSI/ASIC design experience; equivalent practical experience considered.
- Experience with high-speed or networking chips is an advantage.
- Experience in low-power digital design and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with QA and verification flows: lint, CDC checks, gate-level simulation.
- Very good English communication (written and verbal) and strong teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, self-motivated.
Education Requirements
Qualifications include a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Science or Engineering (examples: Electrical Engineering, Physics) or a related field. Posting specifies: Bachelor's +2 years ASIC/related experience, Master's +1 year, or PhD. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
