Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for power management products using sub-micron BiCMOS/DMOS technologies. Work spans product definition through release for products such as switching regulators, linear regulators and high-voltage circuits.
Position is based in Barcelona, Spain within Monolithic Power Spain S.L.; role focuses on sub-block design, verification oversight and layout supervision.
Experience Level
Entry-level (2–3 years of professional analog design experience).
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include hands-on circuit design and participation in the full product development lifecycle.
- Participate in entire product development cycle from product definition through product release.
- Perform sub-block analog and mixed-signal IC design.
- Execute verification activities and supervise layout for designed blocks.
- Design for power management applications (switching regulators, linear regulators, high-voltage circuits).
Requirements
Minimum skills and experience required for the role.
- 2–3 years of hands-on analog design experience.
- Solid practical foundation in analog circuit design (hands-on implementation and debugging).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Nice to have: experience with switching regulators, linear regulators, high-voltage circuits, power-management ICs, and sub-micron BiCMOS/DMOS processes; experience supervising layout and performing block-level verification.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (BSEE), Master's (MSEE) or PhD in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on analog/mixed-signal circuit design (degrees stated in the source).
