Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and integrate RF/microwave components and multi-chip modules (MCM/FEM) including PAs, LNAs, switches, filters and related passive circuitry. Work with design, modeling and process teams to deliver module-level simulations, EM analysis, lab characterization and production support.

Professional / Mid-level - typically requires around 3 years of relevant RF/module design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include module-level design, simulation, verification and lab support.
- Design and integrate transmit/receive RF front-end modules (single- and multi-chip MCM/FEM).
- Perform microwave/RF circuit design tasks (PA/LNA biasing, stability, impedance matching, Bias Tees) and RF test support.
- Use circuit and EM simulators to predict and validate module performance; support full-module simulation flows.
- Develop and run EM simulations (ADS FEM, Momentum, Ansys HFSS) and correlate with circuit simulators.
- Characterize, verify and debug designs via lab measurements and data analysis tools.
- Collaborate with modeling and process engineering teams to produce and maintain linear and nonlinear models.
- Support product lifecycle stages: feasibility, development, qualification and production.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience. Education requirements are summarized separately below.
- Minimum ~3 years of industry experience in RF/module design and integration.
- Practical experience with microwave/RF front-end circuits (PA/LNA design details, biasing, stability, impedance matching) and RF testing.
- Experience integrating dies into single- or multi-chip air-cavity or over-mold modules (MCM/FEM).
- Proficiency with RF CAD and circuit tools (ADS and/or Cadence simulation/layout).
- Experience with EM simulation tools (ADS Momentum, ADS FEM and/or Ansys HFSS) and using them with circuit simulators.
- Experience with lab characterization, data analysis and tools such as Spotfire and Excel.
- Ability to support full-module simulation and correlate measurement and simulation results.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with RF-focused coursework plus ~3 years of relevant experience. Alternative: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with RF coursework plus ~1 year of experience, or 9 graduate credit hours in relevant RF coursework as described. (This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.)
