Role Summary
Join the Design Application Engineering team to support customers from design concept through tape-out. The role translates product requirements into technology and enablement recommendations, coordinates cross-functional resources, resolves technical adoption barriers, and produces technical collateral to enable first-time-right designs.
Experience Level
Entry-level - new college graduate (2027). This role targets recent Bachelor’s or Master’s graduates entering industry.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on technical customer support, cross-functional coordination, and documentation to enable successful IC designs.
- Reproduce and analyze customer and enablement issues; recommend design enablement solutions.
- Coordinate design enablement activities with internal teams, EDA partners, and technology experts to meet customer timelines.
- Track actions, risks, customer cases, and technical closure criteria.
- Lead or contribute to process-improvement projects within the team.
- Produce customer-facing presentations, application notes, evaluation summaries, and technical documentation.
- Adhere to Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements in all activities.
Requirements

- Must-have: English fluency (written and verbal); strong written and verbal communication skills; technical problem-solving and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Must-have: Demonstrated planning and organizational ability; ability to track actions, risks, and follow through to closure.
- Nice-to-have: Prior internship or co-op experience; leadership experience in projects or competitions.
- Nice-to-have: Coursework or project experience in digital design, place-and-route, standard-cell design, analog/mixed-signal, silicon photonics, simulation, layout, verification, or device physics.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with EDA tools (examples: Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys tools, Calibre/Pegasus), Linux, Verilog/Verilog-AMS, Microsoft Office, and PDK-based IC flows.
- Nice-to-have: Interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
Education Requirements
Graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program. Must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA and demonstrated good academic standing.
