Design Analysis Enablement Engineer

Role Summary

Member of the Engineering Enablement organization in Europe responsible for developing and maintaining CAD/CAE/EDA tools and methods used across Analog, RF, and mixed-signal IC design and simulation at ADI.

Improve designer productivity through AI-enhanced tools and methodologies; provide tool development, QA, support, and deployment to product development teams worldwide.

Experience Level

Mid-level - typically 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include tool development, support, and collaboration with design teams.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance CAD/CAE/EDA tools and workflows for analog, RF, and mixed-signal design and simulation.
  • Integrate and apply AI-enhanced tools and agentic AI methods to improve designer productivity and simulation/debugging.
  • Implement and maintain QA tests; debug simulation issues and validate tool and flow changes.
  • Develop scripts, plugins, and automation using SKILL, Perl, Python, Shell, or similar languages.
  • Collaborate with product development teams globally to deploy, support, and document tools and processes.
  • Provide user support, documentation, and training for toolchains and methods.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items noted.

  • Experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and layout.
  • Experience with circuit simulation using Cadence ADE/Spectre; RF simulation and debugging preferred.
  • Proficient programming/scripting skills (Cadence SKILL, Perl, Python, Shell, or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Nice-to-have: PDK or physical verification rule development experience.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with large language models and agentic AI applied to design workflows.

Education Requirements

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. The posting specifies 5+ years of relevant experience.
