Deep Learning System Validation Engineer

Role Summary

As a Deep Learning System Validation Engineer in Intel's Data Center Group, you will develop and execute validation and test plans for deep learning hardware platforms. You will lead pre- and post-silicon validation activities, perform hands-on lab testing, and analyze performance and power data to improve AI system hardware.

The role requires collaboration with product, design, and customer-facing teams to define requirements and influence the AI hardware roadmap.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience in board/system validation or board design.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on validation test-plan development, silicon test activities, and cross-team collaboration. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and specify deep learning hardware test plans, interfaces, and validation strategies.
• Lead pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities, test flows, and interface compliance verification.
• Perform analysis of performance and power data for AI platforms and document results.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct hands-on lab testing involving high-speed interfaces and power measurements.
• Contribute to roadmap and architecture discussions to improve model efficiency and system performance.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• 7+ years of experience in board/system validation or board design.
• Proficiency in board design and systems validation methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and systems engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing test plans and leading validation activities.
• Hands-on lab experience with high-speed interfaces and power measurement equipment.
• Effective communication and ability to work with cross-functional and customer-facing teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with validation techniques for high-speed interfaces.
• Experience with AI hardware platforms or deep learning system validation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
