Deep Learning Performance Software Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and optimize GPU-accelerated deep learning software with a focus on compilers, DSLs and high-performance kernels. The team analyzes AI workloads and integrates performance optimizations into AI frameworks for current and next-generation hardware.
Work requires strong software engineering, collaboration with researchers and cross-functional teams, and delivery of production-quality, high-performance implementations.
Experience Level
Mid-level — 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop compilers and domain-specific languages (DSLs) for deep learning workloads.
- Design and implement highly optimized deep learning kernels.
- Continuously improve compiler architecture for current and next-generation chips.
- Perform performance analysis on emerging AI workloads and integrate optimizations with AI frameworks.
- Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver production-quality software.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills.
- Experience with XLA, TVM, MLIR, LLVM, and deep learning models/algorithms.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented team.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with GPU-accelerated deep learning software and performance optimization.
Education Requirements
Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science, AI, or a related discipline — or equivalent practical experience.
