DDR Design Verification Lead Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification effort for LPDDR/DDR IPs and subsystems within the Infrastructure IP team. Build DV infrastructure, integrate VIPs, author and execute test plans, and drive debug and coverage closure.

Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality verification deliverables for ASIC/IP projects.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Create and maintain verification infrastructure for DDR/LPDDR IPs and subsystems.
• Integrate and validate VIPs and testbenches.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and verification scenarios.
• Debug failures, root-cause issues, and add assertions and additional debug hooks as needed.
• Drive functional and code coverage closure; analyze coverage reports and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, and systems teams to resolve integration issues and ensure program success.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills:

• Must-have: Strong experience with UVM and SystemVerilog; advanced debug skills.
• Must-have: Experience building monitors, scoreboards, sequencers, and sequences; familiarity with scripting for test automation.
• Must-have: Ability to design and execute test plans from specs/standards and to analyze large testbenches and builds.
• Must-have: Experience with coverage-driven verification and closure strategies.
• Preferred: Practical experience with DDR/LPDDR families and generations (DDR2/3/4/5) and related PHY/controller behavior.
• Preferred: Familiarity with bus protocols such as AHB, AXI, ACE and ACE-Lite.
• Preferred: Extensive experience in DV methodologies, tools, and VIP integration for complex SoC/IP verification.

Education Requirements

Degrees: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Science, Engineering, or related technical fields (examples given: Engineering, Electronics, Information Systems, Computer Science).
