Data Analytics Quality Engineering Manager

Role Summary

Lead a small engineering team that applies data analytics to outsourced foundry, assembly and test subcontractor quality assurance. Build and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and statistical models to detect, predict, and resolve manufacturing variability and supplier-related quality issues.

This role supports manufacturing shift operations and integrates supplier data analytics with upstream and downstream processes to improve manufacturing metrics and supply chain continuity.

Experience Level

Senior — requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in data analysis or product/quality engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on team leadership, supplier data integrity, analytics delivery, and continuous improvement.

• Lead and coach a small data analytics engineering team; coordinate with internal functions and external subcontractors.
• Define and implement supplier data collection, ELT pipelines, automated validation, and data governance to ensure accuracy.
• Develop data models and interactive dashboards (e.g., Spotfire) for real-time monitoring of supplier outputs and defect rates.
• Perform statistical analysis to identify drifts and root causes; provide immediate feedback loops for corrective actions.
• Drive manufacturing metrics improvement through data-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide shift coverage as required to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, domain experience, and interpersonal capabilities.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in data analysis with demonstrated results in driving improvements or product/quality engineering.
• Strong statistical analysis skills and hands-on experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Practical experience with semiconductor products and processes (Fab, Assembly, Test, Post Test).
• Hands-on experience with analytics and visualization tools such as JMP, Minitab, Spotfire, Power BI.
• Experience designing data pipelines, ELT workflows, and automated data validation scripts.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to design and implement a data analytics ecosystem and to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering (semiconductor field) is specified.

• Experience or knowledge in predictive analytics and advanced data analytics methods.
• Experience with AI/ML, Digital Twins, and Cloud & Edge computing technologies.
• Proven ability to influence teams and drive timely resolution of potential quality issues.
