This is an engineering role focused on physical layout implementation, verification, and collaboration with design and tool teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 3 to 10 years of custom analog layout experience.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include designing layouts, ensuring manufacturability, and collaborating across teams.

  • Implement high-speed, high-accuracy cells, blocks, and IP with attention to quality and schedule.
  • Develop layouts and layout methodologies for leading foundry process nodes.
  • Analyze layout impact on circuit performance (speed, capacitance, power, area).
  • Apply analog layout techniques such as matching and shielding.
  • Perform physical verification and work with verification flows to ensure sign-off readiness.
  • Collaborate with circuit designers and global layout teams to meet technical and schedule requirements.
  • Work with internal R&D (Virtuoso/PVS/Pegasus teams) to provide feedback and improve layout and verification tools.

Must-have technical skills and experience; listed concisely.

  • 3–10 years of analog/custom IC layout experience (must).
  • Proven experience with Cadence Virtuoso layout and physical verification tools (must).
  • Strong understanding of how layout affects circuit performance (speed, capacitance, power, area) (must).
  • Experience with analog layout techniques (matching, shielding) (must).
  • Good communication, presentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively in global teams (must).
  • Coding/scripting skills to support layout automation and methodologies (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with microelectronics design and manufacturing requirements (nice-to-have).
