CPU Verification Student
Role Summary
Join the Core Engineering Group to verify and debug Intel CPU microarchitecture (the CORE). The role focuses on microarchitecture definition, verification and logical correctness of CPU designs using modern verification languages and tools.
This is a part-time student internship on-site in Haifa; it provides hands-on experience with CPU verification and exposure to Intel architecture and high-speed design.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Student internship. Intended for current undergraduate students; part-time commitment (minimum 20 hours/week on-site).
Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Implement and run verification tests and testbenches for CPU microarchitecture components.
- Perform microarchitecture verification and logical correctness checks.
- Debug functional issues in RTL and verification environments.
- Collaborate with engineers across design, verification and validation teams.
- Use verification tools, simulators and related software engineering practices to automate tests and track results.
- Document verification plans, test results and bug reports.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills:
- Must: Ability to work at least 2.5 days (20 hours) per week on-site in Haifa for the duration of the internship.
- Must: Good verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration and reporting.
- Nice-to-have: Experience or familiarity with SystemVerilog coding and RTL verification.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with verification tools, simulators or hardware debug processes.
Education Requirements
Active undergraduate student pursuing a BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field. At least three semesters remaining until graduation.
