Role Summary

The CPU team at Arm is seeking dedicated engineers to join their Cambridge team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the team to work on the verification of next generation CPU products, contributing to industry-leading CPU IP.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of a specific area of verification for a CPU, including unit-level testbench development and overall verification strategy.
  • Producing test plans and verification strategies.
  • Planning, tracking, and coordinating tasks to meet quality goals.
  • Utilizing a data-driven approach for product quality assurance.
  • Participating in verification improvement strategies across the CPU group.
  • Evaluating and resolving issues throughout the verification process.

Requirements

Must-have skills include:

  • Experience in designing and implementing verification environments for complex RTL designs.
  • Proficiency in hardware verification languages such as Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Understanding of end-to-end verification processes, from test plan creation to closure.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex specification details.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture fundamentals with an emphasis on pipelining and exception handling.

Nice-to-have skills include:

  • Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Practical experience with microprocessor designs.
  • In-depth understanding of memory protection and vector processing in CPUs.
  • Knowledge of constrained random stimulus and coverage methodologies.
