CPU Senior Circuit Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify high-performance, low-power custom circuits for next-generation CPU programs. Work on circuit implementation to meet power, performance, and area (PPA) targets within a multidisciplinary CPU technology team.

Collaborate on design reviews, signoff verification, and methodology improvements to enable production-ready CPU blocks.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and optimization of custom circuit blocks.

• Develop custom circuit designs that meet PPA targets for CPU programs.
• Perform circuit simulation and participate in technical readiness and design reviews.
• Execute design verification and signoff methodologies (functional equivalency, timing, noise/SI, layout checks).
• Analyze and optimize power, reliability, and signal integrity for custom blocks.
• Apply advanced CMOS and physical layout techniques to achieve efficient implementations.
• Contribute to methodology and process improvements for circuit design and verification.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.

Requirements

• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for circuit design and verification.
• Proven experience with circuit simulation, timing analysis, noise/signal-integrity analysis, and layout DRC.
• Deep practical knowledge of advanced CMOS technology and physical layout techniques.
• Experience executing signoff-quality verification and timing/noise closure flows.
• Ability to analyze and optimize power, reliability, and signal integrity at block level.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective written/verbal technical communication.
• Track record of working effectively in multidisciplinary, collaborative engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. The posting specifies 7+ years of relevant custom circuit design experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with a Master’s degree.
