CPU RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver ARM/RISC-V architecture-based CPU subsystems for consumer SoCs. The role covers micro-architecture and RTL development, integration of CPU and related IP, coordination of multi-voltage/power-domain delivery, verification enablement, and post-silicon bring-up and debug.
Experience Level
Mid-level. 5+ years of relevant RTL/microarchitecture experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define and implement CPU sub-system features, micro-architecture and RTL.
- Integrate CPU cores with other IPs and on-chip buses.
- Own and coordinate design delivery for complex multi-voltage, multi-power-domain subsystems.
- Support verification enablement, constraints review, and implementation improvements.
- Participate in post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Solid knowledge of computer architecture, ASIC design flow, and design verification methodologies.
- Experience with simulation tools, Verdi, and linting flows.
- Familiarity with static timing analysis, CDC, DFT and MBIST techniques.
- Strong verbal and written English communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have / preferred:
- 5+ years of RTL and micro-architecture development experience.
- Experience with ARM/MIPS/x86 CPU subsystem design.
- Familiarity with ARM AMBA protocols (CHI/ACE/AXI/AHB/APB).
- Experience with ARM or RISC-V core architecture and interrupt controllers.
- Experience with L1, L2 or L3 cache design and coherence schemes.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
