Responsibilities
Primary technical and delivery responsibilities for thermal modeling, constraints, and cross-functional coordination.
- Develop and align thermal modeling methodology across products and with package modeling teams.
- Define design and analysis methods to improve product thermal profile and silicon performance.
- Translate product usage models, workloads, and package requirements into IP-level performance, power, and thermal constraints.
- Manage thermal product requirements and deliverables across program milestones; drive closure of issues, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with architecture, pre-silicon design, implementation, and package teams to align assumptions and projections.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed where indicated.
- Must-have: Strong physical design background with extensive EDA tool experience.
- Must-have: Deep knowledge of physical-design power and performance metrics for high-performance SoC/IP design.
- Must-have: Experience translating product/workload requirements into IP-level constraints and aligning with product performance-power models.
- Must-have: Expertise in scripting and flow automation to implement and scale methodology.
- Preferred: Familiarity with package models and advanced packaging designs.
- Preferred: Prior experience collaborating with pre-silicon design and package modeling teams.
- Leadership: Proven technical leadership and ability to drive cross-functional alignment and execution.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
