Core Micro Architecture Student
Role Summary
Work with the Core architecture team to design, evaluate and improve Intel processor core micro-architecture using simulation-driven development. The role focuses on performance analysis, algorithm implementation, and PPA tuning.
This is a student internship role on-site in Haifa, contributing to next-generation core design and validation workflows.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Student internship. Candidates should be current undergraduate students with at least three semesters remaining until graduation.
Responsibilities
Hands-on engineering tasks and analysis performed as part of the micro-architecture team.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks in existing core designs.
- Implement and evaluate algorithms in simulation (C++/Python).
- Tune core design for performance, power and area (PPA).
- Perform data analysis to guide architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate and validate changes in simulation flows.

- Good programming skills; preferably C++ and/or Python (required).
- Familiarity with processor core micro-architecture is an advantage.
- Understanding of AI-assisted development workflows is a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware description concepts (Verilog/VHDL) is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Haifa, Israel.
Education Requirements
Current undergraduate student pursuing a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with at least three semesters remaining until graduation.
