Role Summary

The role involves ASIC verification engineering, focusing on developing solutions for the next generation of AI/ML and video processing IP. The engineer will work on chip validation during both pre- and post-silicon phases, collaborating with design and software teams.

Mid-level: 1-5 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to IP verification during the pre/post silicon phase of next generation SoC.
  • Collaborating with design and software teams to debug and resolve issues.
  • Designing and translating high-level customer use cases into hardware-specific verification plans.
  • Developing and automating test plans; refactoring and optimizing test code.
  • Managing validation and testing of the driver/hardware.
  • Migrating/integrating cross-team drivers to new platforms as needed.
  • Delivering low-level hardware drivers for Qualcomm Snapdragon Subsystems validation.
  • Supporting post-silicon bring-up, functional, and performance testing.
  • Performing power correlations, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-5 years in ASIC design, verification, validation, or related work experience.
  • Low-level software development skills in C, C++, Assembly, and Python.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux OS environments.
  • Familiarity with ARM, DSP processors.
  • Experience with automation and test/integration methodologies.
  • Proficient with SCM tools (Git, Perforce) and defect tracking (JIRA).
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong debugging skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree with 3 years; OR a PhD with 2 years of related experience.
