Role Summary

Temporary internship role supporting materials and process engineering work focused on hybrid bonding dielectric interfaces for semiconductor packaging. The intern will work with experienced chemists and engineers to plan and run experiments, analyze results, and document findings.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Intern. Suitable for current college students or recent graduates with limited professional experience.

Responsibilities

The intern will assist technical staff with laboratory experiments and data analysis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist chemists and engineers in designing and executing experiments (e.g., deposition and surface characterizations).
  • Perform hands-on laboratory tasks following safety procedures.
  • Collect, process, and analyze experimental data.
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Support process characterization and contribute to team discussions on results and next steps.

Requirements

Required and preferred skills for successful contributors.

  • Basic knowledge or experience in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering (must-have).
  • Hands-on laboratory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with surface science, thin films, materials characterization, or semiconductor processing is a plus.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Education Requirements

Enrolled in or recently completed a college-level program (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering, or a closely related technical field. Relevant coursework in semiconductor processing, surface science, or device physics is advantageous. Intern/student status expected.
