Role Summary

The CLAWS Electronics Test Engineer will contribute to the development of next-generation GaN semiconductor devices. This role focuses on testing both power and RF semiconductor devices using advanced testing facilities. The position is based at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 3+ years of experience in RF or Power semiconductor device testing required.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Perform on-wafer and packaged device tests in the CLAWS test facility.
  • Conduct various tests on RF devices, such as amplifiers and passives, and power devices, including transistors and diodes.
  • Implement new characterization plans and support design for test initiatives.
  • Ensure the availability of test equipment and capabilities, overseeing calibrations and maintaining standards.
  • Communicate and document test results and procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • M.S. or B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in testing RF or Power semiconductor devices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Eligibility to obtain clearance upon request of the US government.
