Role Summary

Lead a Da Nang-based engineering team responsible for architecture, transistor-level circuit design, and physical implementation of embedded memory IP (SRAM, register files, TCAM, ROM) for advanced process nodes. Coordinate with system architects, layout engineers, verification teams, and global Synopsys sites to deliver variation-aware, production-quality memory IP.

This role combines hands-on circuit review and modeling with people management and cross-functional coordination to reduce design risk and accelerate customer time-to-market.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 10+ years of experience in embedded memory design and engineering management.

Responsibilities

Deliver and lead memory IP design projects from specification through silicon evaluation; manage a small team of circuit and layout engineers.

• Lead architecture, circuit design, and physical implementation of embedded memory IP across advanced nodes.
• Define block specifications with system architects and translate requirements into concrete design targets.
• Manage engineers: assign work packages, track progress, and provide technical mentorship and performance management.
• Conduct design and layout reviews; prepare datasheets and design reports.
• Model and simulate memory blocks (VerilogA, SystemVerilog) to validate architectures before tapeout.
• Support silicon evaluation, analyze field issues, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive methodology and process improvements and coordinate technology evaluation with global teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and proven management experience.

• 10+ years in the full embedded memory design flow: architecture, circuit design, physical implementation, compiler automation, characterization, timing, and model generation.
• Deep expertise in SRAM, register file, TCAM, and ROM architectures and advanced custom circuit implementations.
• Experience designing memory IP for advanced process nodes (7nm, 5nm, or beyond) with variation-aware design techniques.
• Strong knowledge of digital design, verification methodologies, ASIC design flow, and industry-standard EDA tools.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams, including task delegation, performance management, and technical mentorship.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
