Role Summary
Define architecture and microarchitecture for complex SoCs, subsystems, and IP blocks, produce executable specifications, and build performance/power/area models to guide design decisions prior to RTL development. Collaborate with ML researchers and customers and work on silicon programs with major semiconductor partners.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include setting architecture direction, producing models and specs, and coordinating across RTL, verification, physical design, and customer teams.
- Own architecture and microarchitecture for SoCs, subsystems, and IP blocks from requirements through specification.
- Build performance, power, and area (PPA) models to evaluate trade-offs before RTL is written.
- Define memory hierarchies, interconnects, cache-coherence strategies, and interfaces; lead architecture reviews.
- Write clear specifications consumable by RTL, verification, and physical design teams.
- Partner with ML researchers to encode expert architectural reasoning and evaluate model-proposed architectures.
- Work directly with customers to translate product requirements into silicon deliverables.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.
Must-have:- 8+ years of experience in SoC, CPU, GPU, accelerator, or networking architecture.
- Proven track record of taking architectures from specification to tapeout.
- Strong performance-modeling skills (C++, SystemC, Python, or equivalent).
- Deep understanding of memory systems, interconnects, cache coherence, and PPA trade-offs.
- Clear technical writing and demonstrated ability to lead cross-team architecture reviews.
- Experience translating customer product requirements into silicon designs.
- Experience with AI/ML accelerators or chiplet-based designs.
- Hardware/software co-design experience.
- Interest or experience in applying AI to architecture exploration.
