Role Summary
As Chief Architect for SoC and platform within the MCU organization in Bengaluru, you will define long-term architecture strategy and drive platform decisions across multiple product lines. Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include setting architecture vision, leading platform strategy, and ensuring execution alignment across teams.
- Define and drive long-term SoC and platform architecture roadmaps across multiple product lines.
- Align architecture strategy with business goals, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Establish technology direction for compute, connectivity, security, and power architecture.
- Define scalable, reusable platform architectures and drive IP reuse strategies.
- Lead decisions on build vs buy vs partner and manage ecosystem partnerships.
- Own architectural decisions to meet PPA, cost, and time-to-market targets; establish architecture review boards and governance.
- Resolve complex cross-functional technical trade-offs and represent architecture to executives and customers.
- Identify and drive adoption of emerging technologies; define next-generation concepts and incubation initiatives.
- Mentor senior architects and build architecture teams; define best practices and design methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership requirements.
- 15+ years of experience in SoC architecture, IP design, or chip development.
- Proven track record of successful chip tape-outs and silicon bring-up.
- Experience defining and meeting PPA (Performance, Power, Area) targets for production chips.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with product management, validation, and software leadership.
- Experience establishing governance and architecture review processes.
- Strong leadership and mentoring experience building high-performing teams.
- Ability to translate business and customer requirements into architecture strategy.
- Knowledge of platform scalability, IP reuse, and ecosystem partnership management.
Education Requirements
