Role Summary

Responsible for validating and optimizing wireless semiconductor products through hands-on characterization, test infrastructure development, and post-silicon debugging. The role sits in BU Short-Range - Product Development and collaborates with RF, analog, digital, software, and product teams to move designs from prototype to mass production.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include test development, measurements, and problem resolution for high-frequency semiconductor products.

• Develop test infrastructure for wireless and RF technologies.
• Design and execute high-frequency and analog characterization measurements.
• Investigate and resolve complex post-silicon issues affecting product quality and launch readiness.
• Lead development and evolution of prototype test platforms used for chip validation.
• Drive characterization activities to support product delivery from early concept to mass production.
• Improve hardware verification methodologies and engineering practices.
• Collaborate closely with RF, analog, digital, software, and product engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and abilities for this role.

• Expertise in electronic and hardware design, and analog/high-frequency test and characterization.
• Proficiency in one or more of: C, C++, Python, or LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with test equipment such as NI PXI and ATE; knowledge of transceiver and digital system architectures.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Education Requirements

Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) with relevant experience is acceptable. Equivalent practical experience in semiconductor characterization or RF test is also acceptable.
