Career Accelerator Program - Test & Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Early-career engineering role in Texas Instruments' Career Accelerator Program (CAP) supporting product, test, and validation activities for analog and embedded processing ICs. The role works with cross-functional teams, manufacturing sites, customers and external partners to ensure product quality, optimize test and production, and resolve operational issues.
Locations include TI sites in Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Knoxville, TN; and Tucson, AZ. TI will not sponsor visas or work authorization for this position.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career - role intended for recent graduates or engineers at the start of their career.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities span product, test and validation engineering across development and manufacturing release.
- Support development and implementation of strategies for product profitability, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield improvement.
- Develop and optimize test software and hardware; participate in test board and fixture design and automation.
- Debug products and failures using bench setups and lab equipment; perform device characterization and verification.
- Validate designs and verify capability prior to release to manufacturing.
- Analyze data to identify yield, reliability or performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as operational point of contact for assigned product portfolio and resolve customer quality/application issues.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with wafer fabrication and assembly/test manufacturing sites to support issue resolution.

- Must-have: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective verbal and written communication, ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams, initiative and time-management to deliver projects on schedule.
- Nice-to-have: basic understanding of schematics and digital components; familiarity with analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensors); programming experience in C/C++ (LabView recommended); experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes; soldering and hardware debugging experience.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and to interact with manufacturing and customers to resolve technical issues.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0/4.0.
