Role Summary

Entry-level software engineering position on the Embedded Processing Software Engineering Tools team in Toronto. The role participates in TI's Career Accelerator Program, gaining hands-on experience developing and maintaining desktop and cloud-based IDE tooling used for embedded software implementation, debugging, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Work under mentorship to deliver features, quality improvements, and tooling support for desktop and cloud IDE products.

  • Participate in the Career Accelerator Program training and on-the-job learning activities.
  • Implement and test desktop and cloud IDE features and tooling components.
  • Develop user-facing functionality using web technologies and collaborate on multi-layer systems.
  • Debug, profile, and analyze toolchain and runtime behavior for embedded development workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver on product requirements.
  • Follow software development lifecycle processes and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS (must-have).
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS development environments (preferred).
  • Interest or basic familiarity with computer architecture and embedded software development (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in teams.
  • Good verbal and written communication, time management, and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0. Degree level: Bachelor's.
