Role Summary
Join Texas Instruments' 12-month Career Accelerator Program (CAP) as a Reliability Engineer focused on assuring product reliability from development through end-of-life. The role partners with technology, packaging, development, and business teams to define reliability requirements, validate designs through testing, and reduce risk for product launches and sustained field performance.

Entry-level - program intended for new college graduates participating in a 12-month development program.
Responsibilities
The Reliability Engineer will:
- Assess product quality and long-term reliability across the product lifecycle, from NPI to end-of-life.
- Collaborate with technology, packaging, development, and manufacturing teams to evaluate design, materials, and process impacts on reliability.
- Define requirements for components and systems and validate them through reliability test plans and analysis.
- Recommend component selection and design/process optimizations to improve field performance.
- Develop and apply statistical process controls and reliability-acceleration techniques to identify potential failures early.
- Integrate advanced tools, including data analysis and AI techniques, to support reliability assessments.
- Communicate technical findings and reliability risks to cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to corrective actions.
Requirements
No additional mandatory experience beyond the stated education requirements was specified. Preferred or beneficial qualifications include:
- Expertise in semiconductor and packaging reliability, failure mechanisms, and industry standards (e.g., AEC, JEDEC).
- Strong data-driven problem-solving and technical communication skills.
- Experience managing complex projects, meeting deadlines, and working autonomously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building relationships across functions and with external partners.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and technical processes.
- Familiarity with statistical process control methods and reliability-acceleration tools or techniques (including use of AI for reliability analysis) is advantageous.
Education Requirements
Minimum: PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Cumulative GPA required: 3.0/4.0 or higher. The role is part of TI's TMG Development 12-month program for new college graduates.
