Career Accelerator Program - Product Engineer

Role Summary

This entry-level role is part of TI's Career Accelerator Program (CAP). Participants receive technical and professional training and work on product, test, and validation engineering tasks for analog and embedded processing products.

The primary mission is to ensure product quality and performance by supporting new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield-improvement projects; resolve customer quality and application issues; and coordinate cross-functional problem solving with manufacturing sites.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career — designed for recent graduates and engineers in their first year with TI.

Responsibilities

Participate in the CAP while contributing to product, test and validation engineering activities across the product lifecycle.

• Complete CAP training and apply on-the-job learning in product/test/validation engineering.
• Develop and maintain test software and hardware; optimize tests and debug products.
• Support product qualification, reliability testing, verification and release to manufacturing.
• Analyze manufacturing and test data to drive yield and performance improvements.
• Support new product development, cost reduction and capacity-expansion projects.
• Serve as an operational point of contact for assigned product portfolio; resolve quality and application issues.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams for problem solving and drive corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain communication with wafer fabrication and assembly manufacturing sites.
• Set up and run bench validation/characterization and participate in device debug.

  • Knowledge of analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensors)
  • Programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended)
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes), soldering and debugging

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is listed as a minimum.
