Career Accelerator Program - Product Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level product engineer position in a 12-month Career Accelerator Program focused on development, evaluation, and production release of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for Automotive and Industrial markets.

The role works in a team with design, test, manufacturing, quality and reliability groups to validate devices, debug issues, support technology qualification and enable production.

Experience Level

Entry-level - new college graduates. This role is intended for candidates at the start of their careers.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Support development of analog amplifiers, temperature sensors, sensor-based analog front ends and application-specific signal processing ICs.
  • Collaborate with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability throughout new product development and production release.
  • Design and build bench evaluation PCBs and develop characterization programs for bench testing.
  • Perform evaluation, debug and characterization of integrated circuits to verify product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate with failure analysis to identify root causes of reliability and qualification failures.
  • Work with process and package technology teams to develop and qualify technologies for new products.
  • Support global manufacturing on product quality, yield management and cost reduction for mature products, including product spins and derivatives.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills/experience.

  • Must-have: Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits, their operation and analysis.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment for data collection and device debug (curve tracers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network/return-loss equipment).
  • Experience bench-testing op-amps, ADCs, mixed-signal and digital circuits; building validation and characterization PCBs.
  • Experience with integrated circuit and device failure analysis.
  • Programming for test automation (LabVIEW, Teststand) and familiarity with C or C++.
  • Knowledge of statistics and tools for analyzing characterization data, setting production test limits and predicting yield.
  • Understanding of requirements to take a product from development to production.
  • Strong problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage time, work in cross-functional teams, and handle multiple projects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's Degree required as stated in the posting).
